Classroom Management: Discipline with Dignity Length: 2 1/2 hours Description: Discipline and classroom management go hand in hand for individuals working with children. Without proper discipline and good classroom management, utter chaos can break out in a matter of seconds. Learn to discipline with dignity so that both you and the child can make the most of your time together. In this workshop you will: 1. Review the biblical mandate for discipline. 2. Learn practical, creative discipline techniques for individuals, small groups, and large groups. 3. Acquire positive discipline skills. 4. Role-play various discipline scenarios. (Yes! You’ll get to act like 3rd graders) More Than Music: Worshipping with Little Ones Length: 2 1/2 hours Description: Every week, we have the opportunity to merely sing songs with children, OR to lead them into the presence of God through worship. As leaders, our primary job is to usher children into the presence of God and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in their young lives. This workshop offers practical advice for constructing a worship experience for children that is engaging, meaningful, and uplifting to God. In this workshop you will: 1. Review the history of praise and worship from a biblical perspective. 2. Discover characteristics of a good praise and worship leader. 3. Learn how to plan and organize a worship service with specific goals and objectives. Know Thyself: MBTI (Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator) Length: 5 hours Description: The greatest asset we bring to any personal or professional relationship is self-awareness. Increase your understanding of who you are by experiencing one positive, psychometric assessment to tap into the inner workings of kids both big & small. A healthy person asks for what they want. This workshop will help you put words to what you need to function optimally at work and in your personal life. The more you understand yourself, by default, you increase your understanding of others. In this workshop you will: 1. Receive an overview of a positive, psychometric assessment used to access the inner workings of kids, big & small. 2. Be pointed to tools that provide common vocabulary for how God has innately designed each and every person in His image. 3. Gain working vocabulary to help you identify what is life giving for you personally, and what zaps every drop of energy out of you. 4. Gain working vocabulary for how you take in information. (core brain function) 5. Gain working vocabulary for how you evaluate information. (core brain function) 6. Gain working vocabulary for how you engage with the world. 7. Increase understanding of a primary contributor to what could cause you to experience anxiety.
